ARCHITECTS

Mold Solutions of Minnesota works closely with our architect partners to aid them in creating job-specific spec sheets so they can provide their customers with guaranteed mold prevention on all new construction projects. Whether it be a custom home, an entire residential development, or a commercial property such as a bank, restaurant, multi-tenant property, or senior housing, Mold Solutions of Minnesota will create a spec sheet for the project. The spec sheet allows us to provide Microbe Guard A/D mold prevention application for new construction shells, or our Microbe Guard Duralast mold prevention application for finished interiors. Both applications are used in the example below:

Part 2 - MATERIALS:

III.      PRODUCTS INCLUDED: Products included under this section includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following:

a.      Microbe Guard EPA Registered Antimicrobial (EPA #82077-1):
Microbe Guard A/D is an antimicrobial that may be used in the prevention of mold/mildew/bacteria/fungi in new construction. It can be applied to a wide range of substrates including but not limited to: wood, concrete, cement, plastic, fiberglass, wallboard and others to impart antimicrobial, antibacterial and biostatic properties. This formula molecularly bonds to most surfaces utilizing a silanol group. It is this feature that provides a durable new surface on items it is applied to during the application process. The molecular bond of this antimicrobial does not allow the product to diffuse into the surrounding environment. It does not wash off or out, and maintains its effectiveness over time. This product exhibits a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity, and is effective in controlling various microbes. Microbe Guard A/D adds value to products by imparting a durable and effective micro biostatic attributes that last the usefu l life of the product. b.      DuraLast – EPA Registered Antimicrobial (EPA #82077-2):
DuraLast is a water stabilized version of our Microbe Guard antimicrobial. This antimicrobial may be used in the prevention of mold/mildew/bacteria/fungi in finished interiors of new construction. . It can be applied to a wide range of substrates including but not limited to: wood, cement, paint, carpets, ceramic, linoleum, plastic, fiberglass, wallboard and fabric to impart antimicrobial, antibacterial and biostatic properties that protects surfaces from bio-deterioration by inhibiting microbial growth. This water-based antimicrobial is safe, easy to use and eliminates the hazards of conventional methane-based additives and heavy metal antimicrobials. DuralLast is a stable aqueous solution of a Silicone Quaternary Ammonium Salt that can be used to formulate microbiastates for treatment of laundry, carpet, upholstery and drapery.  (click here to view the MSDS)

Part 3 - EXECUTION:

IV.      Certified Application Process: The Complete Building Application Process is typically executed after the electrical is ran and prior to the insulation. The building must be broom swept, the building must be above freezing, one week lead time is preferred and the application is dry within one hour after application process is complete. The Certified Application Process outlined below includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following steps:

a.      Step One: Initial On-Site Inspection
Certified Technicians thoroughly inspect each facet of the structure, carefully noting any area of concern as it relates to existing mold, water intrusion, open windows, visible leaks, and excess moisture. Moisture tests of the substrate to be treated and tempature readings of the property are taken. A detailed report of these valuable findings is provided to the builder. In the event existing mold is discovered, it is eradicated by the use of our exclusive treatment that kills mold and removes mold stains on contact.

b.      Step Two: HEPA vacuum to ensure Quality Application
Meticulous HEPA vacuuming is essential to the proper application of Mold Solutions of Minnesota EPA Registered Antimicrobials. Mold Solutions of Minnesota technicians are trained to search for areas where saw dust and other minor particles would otherwise go unnoticed. The use of HEPA vacuums minimizes the transference of collected particles. Special attention is given to all exterior wall cavities under any opening where a water intrusion could occur.

c.       Step Three: Poly Areas Not Requiring Antimicrobial Treatment
Areas covered in poly include but are not limited to windows, doors, or other areas where an antimicrobial could adversely affect the “finish”. This painstaking process ensures that our antimicrobial treatment will in no way affect any shiny surface or permanently trap dirt, fingerprints or other unwanted marks.

d.      Step Four: Application of Microbe Guard Antimicrobials
Certified Technicians are thoroughly trained in the art of applying antimicrobials. Areas where water intrusion might be a factor such as but not limited to cavities beneath windows, bathrooms, under sinks, doorways, kitchens and other areas receive special attention during treatment.

e.      Step Five: Post Application Inspection
A thorough posts completion inspection is conducted to ensure there was proper application of antimicrobials. Certified Technicians then remove all poly/tape (unless otherwise noted) and any other equipment or materials they brought to the job site. A completion certificate is then placed on the site including the certification number of the authorized technician who performed the treatment.

f.        Step Six: 10 or 25-Year Guaranteed Warranty
Within four to six weeks after treatment a transferable 10 or 25-year warranty is issued and given to the referring company, the contractor, and the building owner. A 10-year warranty is issued for Finished Interior and a 25-Year warranty is issued for the New Construction Substructure. The warranty remains with the property even if the property is sold or otherwise distributed to a new owner or occupant for the remaining life of the warranty.

Part 4 - QUALITY ASSURANCE:

           V.      Quality Assurance: The Quality Assurance information outlined below includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following:

a.      Microbe Guard Antimicrobial Technology:
Microbe Guard's cutting edge Nanotechnology Antimicrobials are a permanent, surface-modifying antimicrobial treatment that once applied by our trained applicators, modifies the surface creating a new surface that is permanently resistant to microbial attacks. Negatively charged microbes are electro magnetically attracted to Microbe Guard's positively charged Antimicrobials; stabbing, electrocuting and killing the microbe. Unlike all other conventional antimicrobials, these products do not off-gas, leach, diffuse, migrate, volatize or otherwise leave the surface to which they have been applied. The result is extraordinary safety and efficacy profile that is unmatched.

b.      Microbe Guard's EPA-Registration & Warranty:
Microbe Guard is an EPA-registered solution against mold/mildew/bacterial/fungal growth with a 10 & 25-Year warranty. These products are backed by three U.S. patents and seven international patents, and are covered by an A-rated insurance company. Microbe Guard Inc. warrants that the surfaces treated with Microbe Guard’s EPA-Registered Antimicrobials by a Microbe Guard Certified Technician will not incur microbial decay resulting from the failure of Microbe Guard Antimicrobials during the 10 or 25-year warranty period. Should a failure occur, Microbe Guard will assume responsibility for all claims, remediation and repair per our standard Warranty Agreement (click here for sample 10 or 25-year warranty) at no cost to the property owner, the contractor, or the referring company of the effected property.
